Sun, 20 Jun 2010 17:06:36 +0000 en hourly 1 http://wordpress.org/?v=3.0 So we brought G to her first Public School Orientation http://uber-dalum.com/2009/08/29/so-we-brought-g-to-her-first-public-school-orientation/ http://uber-dalum.com/2009/08/29/so-we-brought-g-to-her-first-public-school-orientation/#comments Sat, 29 Aug 2009 05:14:58 +0000 dalum http://uber-dalum.com/?p=163 This past Thurday night, G had her 7th Grade orientation at afull on PUBLIC SCHOOL!  For the past few weeks she has been gearing and nerving up for this new school for her and the culture shock kind of set in when she got there.  She had a preview with some newfound friends the night before, but the school wasn’t filled with students.  Honestly, it was fun.  Even thought it wasn’t the school that I went to, it was a nice throwback.  The school’s new Principal is cool.  He’s touhgh, but fair.  I would have rebelled from that type of thinking and not enjoyed his speeches about the do’s and don’ts, back in the day.  Now, I guess, I’ve grown up (did I just say that?) and very much respect his groundrules.  I just hope G remembers what he has said.

Well, here’s to a new school for G!  May she succeed in everything that she want’s to accomplish at WMS!
